Dr. Aijaz Ali Khowaja is a physician, global health leader, public health executive, and researcher with expertise in developing community health care programs. He has established clinical, preventive, and multi-specialty healthcare models, integrating behavioral and mental health services with primary care. As the founder of private and non-profit organizations, he has served over a million patients since 2001.
Dr. Khowaja holds a Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of Texas and an MPH from the University of Glasgow, along with an MBBS from Liaquat Medical University, Pakistan. He is a PG Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and a recipient of the highest Community Health Leadership Award from St. Luke’s Health Care System.
His work has been widely recognized by Texas state leaders, the Mayor of Houston, and the philanthropic community. He has also pioneered health care models in developing countries, focusing on maternal and child health, water sanitation, and sustainable community programs. Additionally, Dr. Khowaja has founded schools and institutions that provide affordable education to underserved populations.
Jennifer Khowaja is a dedicated and experienced professional with a diverse background in healthcare, business, and community development. Starting her career as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, Jennifer gained valuable hands-on experience in medical settings, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care. Her deep-rooted interest in healthcare led her to take on several roles, eventually transitioning to the field of community development.
Currently, Jennifer is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Criminal Justice, further expanding her knowledge in both business management and the justice system. This academic pursuit reflects her passion for making a positive impact within the community through effective leadership and policy development. With a wealth of experience in both healthcare and community development, coupled with her ongoing studies in business and criminal justice, Jennifer Khowaja brings a unique perspective to her role as a board member, where she continues to serve with dedication and passion.
Riaz Siddiqi, Chair of the Board of Trustees, has had a distinguished career in private equity and venture capital. He currently serves as the Chairman of Clovis Point Capital, a private equity firm focused on software and tech-enabled services, and as the Executive Chairman of Aaxis.io, a leader in digital transformation solutions. Riaz is also an active member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), USA, and serves on the board of the American Pakistan Foundation, demonstrating his dedication to fostering impactful global initiatives. His leadership and expertise have made him a prominent figure in driving innovation and growth across various industries.
Al Nasser Amlani is a seasoned senior executive with extensive expertise across operations management, finance, engineering, and IT. With a proven track record in leading successful start-ups, turning around underperforming companies, and driving operational excellence, he is known for enhancing business operations and developing innovative organizational capabilities. Al has a strong background in implementing cutting-edge information technologies that drive business growth. His specialties include strategic and tactical planning, competitive analysis, negotiations, and joint venture deals. He excels in fostering excellence in management practices, managing budgets and P&Ls, and overseeing mission-critical projects, while prioritizing leadership, collaboration, and team-building to achieve organizational success.
Ali Murtaza Khowaja is the Chief Operations Officer at Texas Insurance Agency, leading efforts to provide tailored, cost-effective insurance solutions in Houston, TX, with a focus on minority communities. As a certified Property and Casualty Insurance professional, he combines industry expertise with innovative strategies to offer personalized, value-driven protection.
Ali’s career began with a degree in Insurance and Innovation, laying the foundation for his success in the field. Outside of work, he is dedicated to community involvement, serving on local boards and contributing to social services to strengthen his community. Ali is committed to making a positive impact on both his clients and the community.
